Dick Turpin is depicted seated on a stagecoach with his pistol drawn in his right hand and his loot clutched in his left. His trusty steed, Black Bess, serves as the handle.

Dick Turpin presents in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing and was part of a large Kevin Francis collection. Displays very well, as depicted. He is also known for a fictional 200 mile overnight ride from London to York on his horse Black Bess, a story that was made famous by the Victorian novelist William Harrison Ainsworth almost 100 years after Turpin's death. Established by Kevin Pearson and Francis Salmon, Kevin Francis Ceramics has become known for its exceptionally high quality and creativity in figural art pottery.
