Medium (M) 18K two-tone gold nib, engraved with a portrait of Gandhi. It comes with: Outer box, display box, booklet/ International Reply Card (duly signed and stamped), and a small hardcover volume of Gandhi's words of wisdom. Fully working and ready to write.
Never used and never inked. Still with plastic film around the nib section. The design of the 750 white gold barrel and cap reflects the exquisite texture of Indian shot silk. In contrast to this smooth, even surface, a gold wire, entwined by hand around the middle of each limited edition, evokes the roughly-wound yarn on the spindle with which Gandhi spun every day for half an hour, regardless of where he was or whom he was talking to.
The fever opal is representing the orange colour that is part of the Indian flag. The nib shows the image of Mahatma Gandhi, walking on a stick, during his salt march.
The cone bears a fine engraving of Gandhi's signature. The edition is limited to 241 pieces following the distance of Gandhi's salt march (241 miles). Hand-wound 750 gold thread as spindle. Clip set with one Fire Opal (0,05 carat, Rose cut, Orange colour).750 solid gold nib, rhodium plated. Montblanc emblem in mother of pearl.
