In contrast to this smooth, even surface, a gold wire, entwined by hand around the middle of each limited edition, evokes the roughly-wound yarn on the spindle with which Gandhi spun every day for half an hour, regardless of where he was or whom he was talking to.
The fever opal is representing the orange colour that is part of the Indian flag. The nib shows the image of Mahatma Gandhi, walking on a stick, during his salt march. The cone bears a fine engraving of Gandhi's signature. The edition is limited to 241 pieces following the distance of Gandhi's salt march (241 miles). Hand-wound 750 gold thread as spindle. Clip set with one Fire Opal (0,05 carat, Rose cut, Orange colour).
